Vet Tech – Veterinary Support Role

Are you a practical, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Lambourn Equine Vets is looking for a cheerful, flexible and resilient team player to join our dedicated veterinary support team.

About the Role

This is a varied and hands-on position supporting our veterinary team in the field. Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving vets to appointments and assisting during visits

  • Maintaining and cleaning veterinary equipment and vehicles

  • Stock control – managing inventory, restocking supplies, and accurate record-keeping

  • Supporting procedures such as scoping, x-rays, and scanning (training provided)

  • General cleaning and upkeep of equipment and workspaces

We work predominantly with sports horses and thoroughbreds, many of whom can be highly sensitive or fractious, so confident and experienced horse handling is essential.

What We’re Looking For

  • A clean UK driving licence

  • Strong horse handling skills, particularly with fit, competition-level horses

  • A methodical and organised approach to work

  • Good numeracy skills and experience with stock control

  • Strong IT and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn

Why Join Us

Whether it's through hands-on training, new technologies, or refining our systems and knowledge, we believe in growing together to deliver the highest standards of care and service.
