Veterinary Secretary (Maternity Cover)

Here at Shotter & Byers Equine Veterinary Services, our exceptional 10 Vet Ambulatory Practice is based at our 120-acre farm in the quiet countryside of Walliswood in Surrey. Each of our equine vets has their own special interest areas and take great pride in the work they do. From regular dental checks and vaccinations to full lameness workups, medical investigations and more, our team will take every step to ensure that your horses and ponies are in good health.

We have a current vacancy for a full time, Veterinary Secretary to join us for Maternity Cover.

We are on the lookout for a friendly, efficient, and enthusiastic Veterinary Secretary to join our buzzing team.

What you’ll be doing:

•  Answering phone calls and booking appointments

•  Keeping client records up to date

•  Helping clients with insurance claims

•  Supporting our vets and liaising with referral hospitals

The details:

•  Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm or 8am - 5pm 

•  Saturday mornings on a 1 in 4 rota (9am–1pm)

•  Must live within easy reach of our lovely rural office in Ockley (RH5 5RR)

You’ll need:

•  Equine knowledge (a genuine love of horses is a big plus!)

•  A full UK driving licence

• A willingness to learn – full training provided!
