C&C Horse Transport Ltd are looking to recruit an experienced Transport Planner for their family-owned business, based in Stokesley.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the below duties:
Day to day planning/routing and running of the vehicles and drivers, operating Nationally and Internationally.
Providing first class customer service when liaising with customers and suppliers.
Preparing and processing relevant paperwork.
Ensure company compliance of all transport policies, legislation and procedures relating to Tachographs, Drivers’ Hours Rules, WTD & RTD.
Scheduling vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Calculating customer quotes.
Monitoring employee hours and providing information for wages process.
Complying with Health and Safety and Legal requirements.
Skills required:
Knowledge of transport regulations
Transport planner experience is a preferred essential
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Confident IT skills with Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, Word.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Sound geographical knowledge of the UK.
Ability to motivate team members and provide leadership skills and support.
HGV Licence & CPC qualification would be an advantage.
Full-time and permanent employment, Monday to Friday office based with some out-of-hours phone cover.
Salary depending on experience.
