Arena UK is one of the UK’s premier equestrian venues, hosting an extensive calendar of national and championship-level competitions across multiple disciplines, including British Showjumping and British Dressage.

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a capable and experienced Stable Manager to take responsibility for the efficient operation of all stabling facilities during events.
This is a pivotal role within the event delivery team, requiring a practical, organised individual who can maintain excellent welfare standards while ensuring a smooth and professional experience for competitors.
Key Responsibilities
Stabling & Welfare Management
Oversee the preparation, cleanliness and safety of all stable areas
Ensure consistently high standards of equine welfare are maintained
Monitor the stable yard and respond promptly to any issues
Competitor Liaison
Allocate stables to competitors on arrival in an organised and efficient manner
Act as the primary point of contact for all stabling-related queries
Provide a professional, approachable and solutions-focused service
Hook-Up & Fodder Coordination
Manage electric hook-up allocations and records
Coordinate bedding and fodder orders, including stock control
Maintain accurate records of bookings and distribution
Biosecurity & Compliance
Implement and oversee biosecurity procedures across the yard
Ensure stables are cleaned, disinfected and prepared between events
Support compliance with equine health and venue policies
Operational Support
Work collaboratively with the wider Arena UK team
Assist with the set-up and breakdown of stable areas
Liaise with maintenance teams to address any facility issues
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Experience working within a professional equestrian yard or competition environment
Strong understanding of horse welfare and stable management practices
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident communicator with a professional approach to customer service
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy event periods
Desirable Skills:
Experience within a competition venue or large-scale events environment
Basic administrative or booking system experience
Relevant first aid training (equine or human)
Working Hours
This is an event-based role requiring flexibility, including early starts, late finishes, and weekend work in line with the Arena UK show calendar.
