Premier Performance is a growing, premium equine nutrition and supplement company dedicated to developing high-quality, innovative products that support the health, wellbeing and performance of horses.
Based in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire, we manufacture our products in the UK and supply horse owners, professional riders, competition yards, retailers and distributors across the UK and internationally.
We are currently seeking an experienced Sales, Marketing & Partnerships Manager to join our small yet extremely successful team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the continued growth of Premier Performance across the UK and international markets.
The role combines sales leadership, marketing strategy, digital marketing, business development, customer relationships and commercial planning, with responsibility for turning company objectives into clear and measurable sales and marketing activity.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing and developing existing customer, retailer, distributor and trade relationships.
Identifying and developing new business opportunities across the UK and international markets.
Monitoring sales performance, targets, margins, customer profitability and commercial opportunities.
Developing and implementing the annual sales and marketing strategy and supporting commercial growth plans.
Planning and managing marketing campaigns across email, social media, website, digital advertising and other channels.
Managing and reviewing Google Ads, PPC campaigns and advertising spend, ensuring budgets are used effectively and campaigns deliver a strong commercial return.
Developing and implementing the company's SEO strategy, working to improve organic search visibility, website traffic and online conversion.
Monitoring website performance, Google Analytics and other digital marketing data to identify opportunities to improve traffic, engagement and sales.
Managing website content, product pages, promotions and online merchandising to support conversion and customer experience.
Managing and developing email marketing activity, including customer segmentation, campaigns, promotions and performance analysis.
Overseeing social media strategy, content planning, paid social activity and performance, including Meta advertising and shopping campaigns.
Leading the marketing and commercial activity around new product launches, from initial positioning and messaging through to launch and post-launch analysis.
Working closely with the wider team on product development, pricing, stock, forecasting and commercial priorities.
Developing partnerships with retailers, distributors, professionals and other relevant industry organisations.
Managing the company's presence at trade shows, events, customer visits and industry opportunities, ensuring leads and opportunities are followed through.
Maintaining a consistent Premier Performance brand across all customer-facing communications and marketing activity.
Using customer, market and competitor insight to identify opportunities and inform sales, product and marketing decisions.
Producing regular sales and marketing reports, analysing performance and making recommendations to senior management.
Managing and supporting members of the sales and marketing team, setting priorities, allocating work and developing processes and training.
Working with designers, agencies, technical professionals and other external partners where required.
Skills & Experience
Proven sales and business development skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Commercially minded with a focus on growth and results
Experience managing customer, trade and distributor relationships
Strong digital marketing knowledge, including SEO, Google Ads/PPC and Meta advertising
Understanding of website analytics, conversion and e-commerce
Experience planning and managing marketing campaigns
Strong social media and content marketing skills
Excellent organisation and project management skills
Confident analysing sales, marketing and customer data
Creative approach to marketing and brand development
Strong negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to manage budgets and assess marketing ROI
Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently
Ability to manage and support a small team
Genuine interest in the equine industry and understanding of the equestrian market
Ability to work effectively across different areas of a growing business
Further Details
The role is based at our Head office - Building 19, Colworth Science Park, Bedford, MK44 1LQ
Full time, office based, there may be option for hybrid working in the future for the right candidate.
There will be some travel involved as part of the role.
