An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proven sales and marketing professional to join our growing equestrian feed business specialising in 4 feed brands imported from the Netherlands. We are a Suffolk-based but sell nationwide. We are a company looking for a self-motivated and well-organised individual who can manage our marketing activity while playing an active role in driving sales and supporting our customers.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines hands-on marketing with key account management and new business development. The successful candidate will need to bring fresh ideas to the business, helping us build on our existing customer relationships and reach new audiences across the industry.
The Role
Reporting directly to the management team, your responsibilities will include:
Running and managing social media channels, producing engaging content that builds our brand and reaches new customers
Planning and delivering our wider marketing activity, including selecting and attending trade shows, open days and industry events
Assisting with the website, ensuring content is fresh, accurate and aligned with our marketing strategy
Assisting with sales enquiries and offering knowledgeable, professional advice to customers
Account managing key accounts to maintain strong, long-term relationships
Identifying and developing new sales opportunities and customers within the equestrian sector
Representing the company at events, shows and customer visits, including some weekend and evening work
Some knowledge or interest of other pets/ animals to assist with sales/ marketing for non-equine product lines – not essential.
About You
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, professional and ready to make the role their own. You will ideally have:
A background or genuine interest in the equestrian industry
A self-motivated and disciplined approach, with the ability to work independently and manage your own time
A creative mindset, bringing fresh ideas and new perspectives to the business
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
Some understanding of equine nutrition would be an advantage, though extra training can be provided for the right candidate to the right level
Experience managing social media channels and digital marketing
A flexible and self-reliant attitude, with willingness to travel and work some weekends through the year
