Sundown is family owned since 2004, a rapidly growing business that specialises in the manufacture of premium quality British straw horse bedding & pet products.  Our developing portfolio offers consumers good quality, environmentally friendly products that are efficient, economical & easily available.  Further to significant investment and growth in sales the company now has exciting plans for new product development.  Sundown would like to seek another member of staff to add to their dynamic sales team.

Due to continued growth, we have a current opportunity for a Sales Executive to join our busy but friendly team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join this dynamic business in a varied role to support our Sales Manager in growing sales of branded products in the Equestrian and Pet markets.

This is a partly office based at our HQ in Kimbolton (PE28) and partly field based role, spending 3 days per week out on the road visiting potential customers in person & 2 days per week in the office doing telesales & sales admin.

Occasional further afield travel will be required which will involve staying away from home overnight. There will also be occasional weekend / evening events that the successful candidate will be required to attend.

The role is suitable for someone who is keen to have a career in Sales but has not yet had experience in Field Sales. Comprehensive sales training and mentoring will be provided as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell branded product into Equestrian Yards, Pet Shops & Farm Parks through both in person visits & telesales & offer after sales support.

  • Update CRM records accordingly & prepare sales reports.

  • Update stockist list on Sundown Website.

  • Oversee stock levels of POS & samples.

  • Deal with incoming sales enquiries & customer service tasks.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Ability to communicate well with customers both in person & via telephone / email.

  • An ability to organise time efficiently, prioritise work & record data accurately.

  • A strong interest in equestrian / pet preferred.

  • IT Literate – Microsoft Office / Email / CRM System.

  • A flexible approach to fit with the needs of the business

  • A full driving licence
