About Us
We are a fast-paced and growing animal feed wholesaler supplying a wide range of feed and bedding products to retailers, merchants, and equine professionals. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a driven and customer-focused Sales Account Manager to join our busy sales team.
The Role
This is a dynamic, desk-based sales role within a high-volume, fast-moving environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts, driving new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service.
This position requires someone who thrives under pressure, can multitask effectively, and maintains attention to detail in a busy sales office.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Account Management
Manage a portfolio of existing wholesale accounts
Proactively generate new business opportunities
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across product ranges
Build strong, long-term customer relationships
Sales Desk Duties
Process inbound and outbound sales orders/purchase orders accurately and efficiently
Handle high volumes of phone and email enquiries
Provide product advice and pricing information
Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams regarding stock and deliveries
Manage customer queries, complaints, and returns professionally
Maintain accurate customer records on internal systems
Monitor stock levels and communicate availability to customers
Support credit control with payment follow-ups where required
Administrative & Operational
Maintain detailed sales records and reports
Support promotional campaigns and seasonal sales drives
Keep up to date with product knowledge and market trends
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience in a sales or account management role
Experience within animal feed, agricultural, or equine sectors preferred (equine knowledge advantageous but not essential)
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work in a very busy, high-pressure environment
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office – most notably Excel
Self-motivated with a proactive approach
