Retail Account Manager – Full Time

South West / South Central - Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Avon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Berkshire, West Surrey & West Sussex

We are seeking a Retail Account Manager to drive our growth plans. This exciting opportunity is for someone with previous B2B sales skills who loves to build relationships, and a passion to sell best in class products.

You will manage and develop trade accounts across the territory, from major key account retail chains to independent family run stores. You’ll be familiar with a combination of both online and traditional sales skills, in order to maintain strong sustainable customer relationships and maximise the distribution and market share of our brands and products.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Sales & Account Management

  • Planning & Training

  • Marketing & merchandising

  • Reporting, Sales Data

  • Shows and Events

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate;

  • Proven B2B sales skills in a customer driven environment

  • Understand concept selling and premium brand positioning

  • Strong equine industry familiarity 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Time and Diary management skills      

  • Above average IT skills

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • A natural flare for sales and delivering exceptional customer service

  • Who thrives on building long term relationships, negotiating and selling.

  • With a high performance mindset, who is accountable for their own results and used to working to targets.

  • Well organised, methodical and commercially minded.

This is a field sales role with regular travel throughout the territory, candidates must live in territory and have a flexible attitude towards working hours - working weekends or evenings as required to support your retailers.
