Lambourn Equine Vets is a progressive and well‑established equine practice based in the heart of Lambourn. We are seeking an experienced and organised Part‑Time Finance Administrator to join our friendly, supportive team on a maternity cover basis.
This is a key role within the practice, working closely with the Managing Director and wider team to ensure robust financial administration and smooth day‑to‑day operations.
The Role
As Finance Administrator, you will be responsible for a broad range of financial and administrative tasks, including:
Monitoring and reporting daily billing to ensure KPIs are met
Resolving billing and client account queries and maintaining accurate Eclipse records
Supporting vets to ensure clinical notes are completed in a timely and compliant manner
Preparing and managing month‑end processes, including invoice production and management reports
Overseeing invoice runs, reconciling ledgers, and liaising with the Managing Director and bookkeepers
Producing monthly P&L and management analysis reports
Managing debt control in line with practice policy and minimising outstanding fees
Overseeing and supporting pricing strategies across the practice and pharmacy
Supporting the pharmacy team with product pricing and providing cross‑cover when required
Ensuring GDPR compliance across client accounts and records
Providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the practice
About You
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail‑focused, and confident working independently in a busy professional environment. You will ideally have:
Experience in financial or accounts administration
Excellent organisation, time‑management, and communication skills
High levels of computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Outlook
Experience with debt management and reconciliations
A professional and empathetic approach when dealing with clients and colleagues
The ability to communicate effectively with vets, directors, and the wider team
A minimum of 3 A‑Levels (grades C and above) or equivalent experience is desirable.
