Lambourn Equine Vets | Lambourn, Berkshire
Part‑time or full‑time considered

Lambourn Equine Vets is a progressive, independent equine practice based in the heart of Lambourn. As the practice continues to grow and evolve, we are creating a new role of PA to the Managing Director to provide high‑level support and help ensure the smooth, efficient running of the business.

This is a pivotal and varied role, ideal for a highly organised, proactive individual who enjoys autonomy, responsibility, and working closely with senior leadership in a busy professional environment.

The Role

Working directly with the Managing Director, you will provide comprehensive PA and operational support, helping to maximise efficiency, streamline processes, and support the wider team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing proactive PA support to the Managing Director, including diary coordination, scheduling, and ad‑hoc support

  • Supporting veterinary resource planning, including vet and vet‑tech scheduling and rota oversight

  • Assisting with internal meetings, including agenda preparation, minute‑taking, and follow‑up actions

  • Supporting planning and implementation of CPD, training, and team events

  • Coordinating and supporting management projects such as client evenings and practice initiatives

  • Overseeing incoming post and ensuring key information is prioritised and actioned

  • Assisting with IT and mobile communications systems alongside the operations and admin teams

  • Managing practice properties, including compliance checks, maintenance coordination, and contractor liaison

  • Managing insurance policies and providing clear summaries to support informed decision‑making

  • Overseeing the practice vehicle fleet, including servicing, repairs, and general presentation

  • Supporting internal communications, low‑level marketing activity, social media, and website updates

  • Working closely with the client services manager and admin team to support the central diary and operations

About You

We are looking for someone who is confident, dependable, and highly organised, with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset. You will ideally have:

  • Experience in a PA, executive assistant, senior administration, or operations support role

  • Excellent time‑management skills with the ability to anticipate needs and prioritise effectively

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • A professional, discreet, and flexible approach

  • Confidence communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including directors, vets, clients, and suppliers

  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks and projects

A degree‑level qualification or equivalent experience is desirable but not essential.

What We Offer

  • A newly created role with real scope to shape and develop

  • Part‑time or full‑time hours considered for the right candidate

  • A friendly, supportive, and collaborative team environment

  • The opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a growing independent practice
