We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the daily operations of our organisation. Your primary goal will be to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability while ensuring that all operational processes align with the company's strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership abilities, exceptional organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Objectives:
Strategic Planning: Monitor and evaluate operational performance against these objectives and make necessary adjustments to drive success.
Process Optimisation: Continuously assess existing operational processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of warehouse staff, providing clear direction, coaching, and mentoring to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor and analyse KPI metrics, generate reports, and present findings to management. Identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement and develop action plans accordingly.
Resource Allocation: Optimise resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximise efficiency and productivity. Ensure proper scheduling, inventory management, and utilisation of resources to meet production and customer service requirements.
Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality products or services. Monitor compliance with quality requirements, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Vendor Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise. Continuously evaluate vendor performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Risk Management: Identify potential operational risks and develop mitigation strategies. Implement appropriate risk management practices to ensure the safety of personnel, assets, and operations. Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices to maintain compliance
About you:
· Proven experience in operations management or a similar role/Degree Business Administration, Operational Management or similar
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
· Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and achieve operational efficiency.
· Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
· Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
· Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset
