Salary: £27,000 + bonus + 4 bags Pure Feed per month
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Junior Nutritionist to join the Pure Feed team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate passionate about equine nutrition to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and supportive environment. You’ll play a key role in helping customers, trade partners, and ambassadors get the very best from our products, while developing your skills in nutrition, communication, and industry standards such as NOPS and UFAS.
Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Support & Communication
Handle incoming calls and emails, offering knowledgeable advice and support on feeding and product selection.
Take customer orders over the phone and assist with queries.
Manage complaints and damages in a professional and empathetic manner.
Nutrition & Education
Assist with creating and analysing diet plans, reporting, and customer follow-up.
Support the Head of Nutrition with labelling, formulations, and maintaining NOPS compliance.
Deliver brand ambassador and trade training sessions to improve nutritional knowledge and consistency of advice.
Events & Outreach
Represent Pure Feed at events, weighbridge days, and trade visits, providing nutritional guidance and support.
Attend camps and clinics to give talks, run educational sessions, and offer practical advice on equine nutrition.
Assist with event sponsorship activities and ambassador engagement.
Help plan and coordinate outreach initiatives to grow brand presence.
Digital Engagement & Marketing Support
Respond to social media comments, messages, and stories in a friendly and professional manner.
Engage with followers and ambassadors on Facebook and Instagram to build brand loyalty and awareness.
Administration & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, feedback, and data for reporting and analysis.
Assist with admin tasks as needed across the nutrition, sales and marketing teams.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
Degree in Equine Science
A love and passion for horses and nutrition.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Confident speaking both in person and on camera.
Excellent organisation and time management skills.
Analytical mindset with an interest in data and reporting.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a small team.
Ideally GCSE grade 6 (B) in English and grade 6 (B) in Maths.
Full UK driving licence and own transport (office is in a rural location; travel to events required).
Desirable:
Previous experience in a customer-facing or equestrian role.
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital engagement.
Additional Information
Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the Brinkworth office.
Occasional weekend work required for events (time off in lieu provided).
Excellent opportunity to learn about NOPS, UFAS, and the formulation of equine feeds under the guidance of experienced nutritionists.
