About You
Master’s Degree (or higher) ideally in Equine Science, Equine Studies, Animal Nutrition or Animal Management or a related discipline

Strong understanding of equine physiology, performance, health, and feeding management as well as direct leisure horse experience
Proven ability to translate science into practical, commercially viable solutions with excellent organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with confidence presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences and proven customer service and people skills
Strategic mindset with strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to demonstrate creativity, drive and enthusiasm and proactively lead a team by example

Full UK driving license required
Desirable
Postgraduate qualification (MSc/PhD) in Animal or Equine Nutrition

Existing industry network and public-facing experience
As this role covers both equine and smallholder feeds, in addition to equine knowledge and experience we are also looking for someone who can give nutritional advice for animals such as poultry, pigs, goats, sheep and cattle.
As this role includes giving equine nutritional advice over the phone, via email and at shows and events, the successful candidate will be approachable and able to relate to, and communicate with, colleagues and customers of all ages and backgrounds. They will also need to be able to write articles for internal and external publications so must have proficient writing skills and the ability to present nutritional lectures.
