Founded in 1968 as a farmer’s cooperative, Dengie is still run today with the same ethos of supporting the local farming community. We grow as many of our own ingredients as possible which keeps our ‘feed miles’ low and provides the best traceability possible – every bag of our horse feed can be traced back to the field it was grown in.

Would you like to join the team? we are currently seeking for the role of Export Business Development Manager. 

This important role will be responsible for:

Managing and growing our overseas customer portfolio as well as identifying and developing new business opportunities across European and International markets.

European & International market development / Customer & distributor Management / Regulatory & compliance oversight / Logistics & supply chain coordination / Marketing & brand representation / Product & technical knowledge / Financial & strategic responsibility. 

  • Supporting, promoting, identifying and developing Dengie horse feeds in current and new overseas markets

  • Developing and supporting current and new customer relationships - (distributors, agents and key accounts)

  • Analysing and prioritising new market opportunities

  • Developing business plans and agreeing volume and value objectives

  • Ensuring first-class service account management

What we are looking for:

  • Proven track record in / or willingness to travel frequently, meet new and existing customers, attend trade shows and represent the Brand.

  • Must be able to demonstrate proven experience in B2B sales in the equine, pet or animal feeds sectors.

  • Have a proven record of leading and developing market growth, identify and develop new business opportunities across European and wider markets.

  • Be able to manage a portfolio of accounts to meet and exceed specified targets.

  • Take ownership of key accounts and further develop long-term client relationships

  • Self-motivated, driven, and comfortable working autonomously.

As this role requires frequent & regular travel the successful candidate needs to reside within reach of an airport, the remaining work is conducted remotely. Some meetings at HQ in Essex may be required. 

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
