A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a suitabily qualified and commercially minded Equine Nutrition specialist.
First and foremost this is a nutrition based role, supporting both the in house team, customers and wider stakeholders with technical advice as required, therefore candidates need to be suitably armed with current and relevant experience and qualifications. In addition this role also encompasses team management, commercial acumen and marketing functions. This is a pivotal role within the business, combining equine nutrition expertise with sales, marketing, customer acquisition, product development and customer experience.
Working closely with the Director Team, you will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the business, developing products and services, driving customer growth and ensuring the brand continues to stand out in a competitive market.
Responsibilities Include:
Nutrition & Product Development
• Lead feed formulation, product development and innovation
• Provide expert nutritional advice to customers, trade partners and internal teams
• Develop the Pure Feed Diet Plan service and maximise its potential as a customer acquisition channel
• Ensure nutritional information, claims and product communications are accurate and compliant
• Develop nutritional training and educational resources
Marketing & Customer Acquisition
• Lead the company's marketing strategy across digital, social, email, website/e-commerce and trade channels
• Develop exciting integrated campaigns and product launches
• Oversee Google Ads and Meta advertising, budgets and performance
• Drive email marketing, organic social media and content strategy
• Develop website and e-commerce opportunities to improve customer journeys and conversion
• Manage trade marketing, POS, ambassadors, influencers, partnerships and sponsorship activity
Commercial & Customer Experience
• Drive customer acquisition, conversion and retention
• Identify opportunities to grow sales and improve commercial performance
• Support retailers, wholesalers, trade partners, events and exhibitions
• Use customer and market insight to influence product and commercial decisions
Strategy, Reporting & Leadership
• Monitor commercial, marketing and customer acquisition KPIs
• Use data and insight to optimise performance and investment
• Contribute to business planning, budgeting and commercial strategy
• Manage, mentor and develop team members across nutrition and sales
• Build a culture of accountability, initiative and continuous improvement
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who can bring together technical equine nutrition knowledge and strong commercial thinking.
You will be someone who is:
Commercially driven and understands what makes a business grow
Suitabily qualified in Equine Nutrition & passionate about equine health and product development
Experienced in marketing, sales and customer acquisition
Confident using data and performance metrics to make decisions
A strong communicator who can work with customers, retailers, trade partners and internal teams
Able to lead, motivate and develop a team
Strategic, proactive and commercially minded
Additional Details
This is a full time permanent role, due to the team management element the role is office based 3 days per week. Based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. Candidates need to live within a reasonable commute to the office HQ.
Travel maybe required as part of the role.
