Townfields Saddlers Ltd is one of the UK’s leading equestrian and country retailers with over 60 years of heritage within the industry.
Based in Allesley, Coventry, we operate both a successful retail store and a growing ecommerce business. We are now looking for an ambitious and commercially minded individual to help take townfields.com to the next level.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for somebody with previous ecommerce experience who is passionate about online retail, digital marketing, and website growth.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of our ecommerce platform, bring fresh ideas to the business, and help improve the overall online customer experience.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing website content, product merchandising, promotional campaigns, email marketing, and supporting the continued growth of Townfields online.
This is a fully office-based role working within our Coventry head office.
Key Responsibilities
Managing and maintaining content across townfields.com and associated ecommerce platforms
Creating and optimising product listings, collections, and category pages
Managing website merchandising, featured products, promotions, and seasonal campaigns
Planning and producing regular email marketing campaigns across the Townfields customer database
Managing approximately 7 (daily) email marketing campaigns per week
Writing engaging product, category, and promotional content
Monitoring website performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
Supporting SEO and ecommerce growth strategies
Uploading and managing product data, pricing, imagery, and stock information
Working with developers and external partners to improve website functionality and user experience
Bringing fresh ideas and commercial thinking to help grow the Townfields online brand
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous ecommerce experience is essential
Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms and website management
Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo or Omnisend
Excellent computer literacy and confidence working across multiple systems
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Creative mindset with strong written communication skills
Ability to work independently and proactively
Good understanding of online retail and digital marketing
Equine knowledge or industry experience is essential
Desirable Skills
SEO knowledge and ecommerce best practices
Experience with Google Analytics or ecommerce reporting
Product merchandising experience
Basic graphic design or image editing skills
Experience managing large product catalogues or ecommerce data
Working Hours
Full-time, permanent position
Monday to Friday
42.5 hours per week
Working Hours: 9am - 5:30pm
