Racesafe | Corby, Northamptonshire
Racesafe is a British brand trusted by riders worldwide for body protection and apparel. With over 50 years of expertise and a reputation for innovation, we design and manufacture market-leading equestrian safety products used across many disciplines.
We're at an exciting stage. Our product range is growing, and we sell direct to consumers and through retailers in the UK and Internationally. We know our online presence is nowhere near its potential, and we're looking for an E-commerce Manager to build it into a genuine growth channel across the group, with a particular focus on our International markets.
This is a growth role, not a maintenance one. Our online sales are at an early stage and we don't yet have the specialist expertise in-house to scale them. You'd be that expert. You'll own the online business across our brands, run our paid advertising, and rebuild how our sites perform, look and convert. It's hands-on. You'll be doing the work, not just directing it.
It's also a genuinely interesting challenge. We sell technical safety products, so a big part of the job is solving how to help customers choose the right product, size and fit online, with confidence. We operate in a specialist niche, not a mass market, so this is about smart, considered growth, not just ad investment.
What you'll own:
Building our online business across the group, with a strong focus on international markets like the US and Europe
Taking our paid advertising in-house (Google, Meta) and making it work harder
Owning the websites end to end: performance, conversion, content, product presentation
Rethinking how we present and sell technical safety products online, from product selection to sizing and fit
Email marketing as a revenue channel, including automated flows and campaigns
Recommending and building the right tech stack
What we're looking for:
Proven experience growing an online/D2C brand, ideally from a similar scale rather than a big-budget operation
Hands-on across the board: paid ads, site building and optimisation, email, content updates
Strong grasp of Shopify and the wider e-commerce toolkit
Commercial and analytical. You own the numbers and know what moves them
Self-driven and comfortable being the only specialist in the team
Bonus, not essential:
Experience in the equestrian, country or a similarly technical/premium sector
International e-commerce experience
Experience creating your own content or design assets
Experience with B2B/trade website experiences
The details:
Permanent role. We'd consider freelance for the right person who can commit real hands-on days
Competitive salary depending on experience
Ideally 1 to 2 days per week in our Corby office, with flexibility for more remote working and occasional attendance as needed
