An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our Marketing and Communications team, with the successful candidate playing an integral role in helping to deliver our communications strategy, creating engaging and informative digital content to support all British Dressage activity.

British Dressage is the National Governing Body for the Olympic and Paralympic sport of dressage in the UK. There has never been a more exciting time to join the team at British Dressage and be part of the most popular equestrian sport. Following 15 years of international success, the sport is enjoying a profile like never before, with over 18,500 members taking part in more than 2,500 days of affiliated dressage competition every year.

Based at our Head Office in Meriden, West Midlands, with the option of hybrid working available, the Digital Communications & Content Officer will work closely with the Communications Manager to ensure timely delivery of a busy written communications schedule, primarily for the BD website and social media channels, to support competition and training activity.

The main focus for this role is creating and producing effective digital communications across the organisation’s activities.

  • This includes copywriting, video editing, podcast editing, providing social media support and increasing engagement across all of BD’s digital platforms.

  • The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills, with strong attention to detail and high standards of grammar.

  • They should be IT literate with experience of delivering creative and innovative content for digital channels, as well as possessing an awareness of how to communicate effectively with different stakeholder groups.

  • We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and highly motivated self-starter, with excellent communication and organisational skills, who is equally adept at working independently and as a team player.

  • A genuine passion for equestrianism and good understanding of dressage would be advantageous for this role.

Due to the nature of our sport, a flexible approach including working some weekends and evenings, will be required. You must also have a full, clean driving license and be prepared to travel as necessary. For more information, including a full job description, please visit www.britishdressage.co.uk.
