On behalf of a client we are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to cover the South West.
This is an exciting and well rewarded opportunity to work for one of the largest suppliers of Equestrian Products in the UK.
As Business Development Manager your daily role will include various tasks and responsibilities including:
Identifying & creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities, new clients & new partnerships
Building relationships with new & existing clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs
Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends
Working with and exceeding sales forecasts
Possessing a strong understanding of the company’s products, the competition in the industry and positioning
Responsible for attaining sales growth goals and representing the company to established and new stockists.
Ensuring to provide the highest standard of customer service, instore merchandising, product training, stock management and general brand building.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have the required skills and experience to thrive in this role, including.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail and /or B2B sales.
Excellent interpersonal and rapport building skills with the ability to communicate across all levels in business.
Great time management and organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously.
A genuine passion and interest in all things equestrian.
A self-motivated, enthusiastic and outgoing personality.
A strong involvement / familiarity within the equestrian industry
The successful candidate will be required to work occasional weekends and attend major equestrian events.
Excellent package for the right candidate - including performance bonus, car, mobile, laptop.
Candidates must have a proven track record in a B2B field based area sales / key account role
Be located centrally in the area
Able and willing to travel, and stay away as required
