We are looking for a highly motivated and organised Business Development Manager with previous sales experience to join our team at Battles, an award-winning manufacturer and leading provider of all the major animal health, equestrian and pet care brands worldwide. This is a fast-paced role and requires someone who can manage and prioritise different projects at one time. The successful candidate should have previous experience in growing sales and creating a strong identity.
Equestrian knowledge is essential to understand the brands key target audience and ethos. We are looking for someone to hit the ground running and help grow within the area. This role is integral to developing and implementing a strong growth strategy, building strong relationships.
The areas to be covered are North East, Scotland, North Yorkshire.
Key Areas of responsibility:
Maximising products and driving sales by utilising a high level of product knowledge and selling skills.
Develop and maintain purposeful relationships that drive sales
Meet and exceed targets
Managing your area by delivering strategic objectives into each of your targeted accounts, deliver impactful and actionable meetings and presentations
Demonstrate a high level of customer service to assess customer needs and implement action plans
Evaluate/collate customer feedback and liaise with relevant business teams
Develop and implement efficient call cycles which result in positive orders and drive sales to deliver business targets
A partner to help your customers with all their business needs
Some attendance of shows will be expected, this will involve direct contact with the consumer and selling directly to them.
Promote new product launches and ensuring your customers have all the marketing info to help sell products and hot sales targets
Skills/About you:
Self Motivated and target driven
Demonstrable success and proven experience in B2B field sales
Excellent communication, negotiating skills & interpersonal skills via telephone & face to face
Well-presented and highly articulate and organised
Positive, focused, target driven & forward thinking, with a passion for exceeding expectations
Ability to work on own initiative
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to build strong working relationships
Some Equine background is preferred, (a passion for horses or Equestrian knowledge)
Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office
Full UK Driving Licence is essential and willingness to travel with overnight stays
Salary starting from £30,000 per annum plus OTE (Depending on experience)
37.5 hours a week
