BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND ACCOUNT MANAGER

It is an exciting time to be joining this family business as I’Anson Holdings are investing over £30 million in a new, state of the art animal feed manufacturing plant which is due for completion in 2023/24. There is now an opportunity for a driven BDM manager to help deliver a positive return on this, the single largest investment in the business since creation in 1900.
British Horse Feeds & The Golden Paste Company are divisions of I’Anson Holdings, a family business and one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of animal feedstuffs based in North Yorkshire. British Horse Feeds (BHF) known for its flagship product Speedi-Beet has a small range of equine feeds which are available in both the UK and overseas markets. The Golden Paste (GPC) Company specialise in natural turmeric based supplements and have a diverse range of products covering equine, pets and people.
With a focus on sales and profitability, we are looking for a BDM that will seek opportunities in new and existing accounts for the Group. The successful candidate will oversee the national accounts for both divisions and contribute to sales to meet specific objectives and key results.
Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager include:
Effectively manage key accounts to increase sales and profitability
Ensure all strategic partnerships are successful and key metrics are achieved
Liaise with strategic decision makers to develop and deliver the sales strategy
Seek opportunities in new and existing accounts, including external alliances and partnerships
Adhere to business development and account management key development plans
Attend relevant industry shows, events and conferences
Work closely with key stakeholders including the marketing manager to deliver successful account plans
This is an expanding role
The successful candidate will have:
5+ years’ of business development experience
Strong evidence of growing national account sales and profitability (animal health nutrition & FMCG experience an advantage)
Target driven and possess a “can do” attitude
Ability to work in a team driven environment
Excellent communication skills
Advanced IT Skills – Sound working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
Current UK Driving licence
CRM experience (preferably HubSpot)
