Join the Woof Wear Sales Team
This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of our dynamic sales team. As Area Sales Manager, you will play a vital role in driving sales growth by developing new business and maintaining strong relationships with our existing customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management:
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers through regular store visits, check-ins, and tailored support, ensuring they are up to date with our latest products and promotions.

  • New Business Development:
Proactively seek out and develop new retail opportunities within your assigned territory, identifying potential stockists and converting leads into active customers.

  • Product Promotion:
Act as a brand ambassador for Woof Wear, promoting our products confidently and knowledgeably both in-store and at trade events, shows, and exhibitions.

  • Event Attendance:
Represent Woof Wear at key industry trade shows, open days, and equestrian events. Be comfortable engaging with customers in both retail and event settings, including occasional evenings and weekends.

  • Training & Merchandising:
Provide effective in-store product training to retail staff to enhance their product knowledge and selling confidence. Assist with merchandising to ensure Woof Wear displays are visually strong and aligned with brand guidelines.

  • Territory Planning:
Plan and manage your own schedule effectively to maximize time in the field, ensuring consistent coverage of your territory and timely follow-up with all customer accounts.

  • Sales Reporting & Feedback:
Meet and exceed revenue and performance targets. Provide regular reports on sales activity, market trends, and customer feedback to help inform product development and business strategy.

  • Brand Integrity & Presentation:
Uphold the reputation of Woof Wear by always maintaining a professional and approachable demeanour, ensuring that customer interactions reflect the values and quality of our brand.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven Field Sales Experience (Essential): You must have a solid track record in a field-based sales role, ideally within a fast-paced, target-driven environment. Experience in the equestrian or sporting goods industry is highly desirable.

  • Equestrian Knowledge & Passion: A genuine passion for horses and a strong understanding of equestrian products is essential. You should be able to speak confidently and credibly with customers in the equestrian trade.

  • Excellent Organisational Skills: You’ll need to manage a varied workload, including planning store visits, coordinating event attendance, and following up on leads, so a methodical and well-organised approach is vital.

  • Self-Motivated & Results-Oriented: This is a remote, field-based role that requires someone who is self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently. You should be comfortable working to sales targets and taking full ownership of your territory.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Confident in face-to-face and written communication, you will be personable, persuasive, and able to build rapport quickly with both new and existing customers. A professional but friendly manner is a must.

  • Computer Literacy: You should be proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook) and able to use digital tools to manage your time, report activity, and communicate with head office and customers effectively.

  • Excellent Time Management: Managing your own diary, setting appointments, and staying on top of admin tasks requires strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.

  • Integrity and Professionalism: You will represent Woof Wear in a variety of settings, so it's essential that you conduct yourself with honesty, reliability, and professionalism at all times.

  • Ideally Based in the Midlands: To effectively service our network of customers, we are ideally looking for someone located in or near the Midlands region, with easy access to key areas within the territory.

  • Flexibility to Work Weekends/Evenings: Some events and customer requirements will fall outside standard office hours, so flexibility to work weekends or evenings when required is essential.
