The National Pony Society is offering two administration roles within the office team based at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.

One role will primarily provide administration services to the members and process results from affiliated competitions.  

The second role will be the main point of contact for the Society’s sponsors and will be responsible for the management of the British Riding Pony studbook

Both roles will support a range of other administration functions to assist with shows and events run by the Society. The roles will suit well organised candidates with knowledge of the equestrian industry who can bring their strong people skills and administration experience to the team. The ideal candidates will need to be focused individuals with a strong ability to prioritise their workload and a flexible approach to work.

Previous experience of working within an office environment together with working knowledge of the MS Office Suite is essential. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is vital.

For the sponsorship coordinator role, experience of generating sponsorship leads or fundraising desired.

This position is based at the National Pony Society offices at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, CV8 2LG.

37 Hours per week – Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm. Initially a fixed term appointment for a 12 month period.

Some overtime may be required during busy periods

22 days holidays (plus 8 bank holidays) per annum

Duties include:

Membership & Results Administrator

  • Be a point of contact for activities across the NPS

  • Provide a quality service to the Board of Trustees/membership

  • Input of data related to membership renewals and show results

  • Act as a point of contact for NPS Area officers for membership queries

  • Work with Line Manager/nominated persons to assist with activities, including support with Spring, Summer and Autumn Show preparation and affiliations in accordance with the aims and objectives of the Society

  • Deal with day to day general queries relating to the NPS - diverting those not handled to a nominated expert

  • Attending shows and events run by the Society

  • Expected to demonstrate a willingness to take on a range of tasks and to develop new skills, as appropriate

Studbook & Sponsorship Co-ordinator

  • Production and maintenance of the British Riding Pony studbook

  • Be a point of contact for all studbook activities

  • Provide a quality service to the studbook committee and Board of Trustees including minute taking at committee meetings

  • Communication with breeders both verbal and written

  • Building and sustaining relationships with external organisations

  • Preparing and monitoring contracts with sponsors and ensuring fulfilment of all contractual obligations. Performance related bonus linked to new sponsorship generation.

  • Be a point of contact for any sponsorship queries

  • Work with Line Manager/nominated persons to assist with tasks, including show preparation, educational schemes and marketing promotions.

  • Deal with day to day general queries relating to the NPS - diverting those not handled to a nominated expert

  • Attending shows and events run by the Society

  • Expected to demonstrate a willingness to take on a range of tasks and to develop new skills, as appropriate 

Salaries range from £24,750  to £25,785 pa.
