The National Pony Society was formed in 1893, ‘to encourage the Breeding, Registration and Improvement of Riding Ponies and Mountain & Moorland ponies and to foster the Welfare of Ponies in general’.
In conjunction with the British Horse Society, it is the officially appointed liaison between the Government and all those concerned with Ponies and is represented on all major horse and pony organisations.
This role will suit an organised person with knowledge of the equestrian industry who can bring their strong people skills and administration experience to the team. The primary focus of this role is to support the administrative team and to be a point of contact for activities across the National Pony Society (NPS).
The ideal candidate will need to be a focused individual with a strong ability to prioritise their workload and a flexible approach to work.
Previous experience of working within an office environment together with working knowledge of the MS Office Suite is essential.
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is vital.
This position is based at the National Pony Society offices at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, CV8 2LG.
37 Hours per week – Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm. Initially a fixed term appointment for a 12 month period.
Some overtime may be required during busy periods
22 days holidays (plus 8 bank holidays) per annum
Duties include:
Be a point of contact for activities across the NPS
Provide a quality service to the Board of Trustees/membership
Work with Line Manager/nominated persons to assist with activities, including support with Spring, Summer and Autumn Show preparation, affiliations and membership in accordance with the aims and objectives of the Society
Deal with day to day general queries relating to the NPS - diverting those not handled to a nominated expert
Input of data related to membership renewals and show results
Expected to demonstrate a willingness to take on a range of tasks and to develop new skills, as appropriate
Salary circa £24,242 pa
