Job Description

The Northern Racing College seeks to appoint a Training Instructor to join our teaching team.  The successful applicant will be responsible for riding and stable management tuition within the Foundation Course. 

It is essential that applicants possess a Level 3 Diploma in Racehorse Care and Management, or equivalent qualification, or be willing to work towards and achieve one.

  • An understanding of the qualification system is desirable.
  • A desire to teach young people is essential and if not held you would be expected to work towards a teaching qualification. 
  • An assessing or equivalent qualification would also be desirable, but training can be provided. 
  • You should be highly motivated, an excellent communicator and be able to work as part of a team. 

The salary range is £24,006.00 - £24,966.24 (average 41 hours per week), per annum with a contributory pension scheme.  An initial holiday entitlement of 25-days plus Bank Holidays and free membership of our Westfield Health Foresight Plan.  

The selected Applicant will be asked to apply for an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
