Under recent new ownership The Pure Feed Company are entering an exciting phase and currently seeking a new team member to join us for the role of Equine Nutritionist.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team and a well respected brand.   

As an experienced Nutritionist, the successful candidate will provide professional advice on nutrition for horse owners, wholesale and retail managers, veterinarians and the wider equestrian industry, creating sustainable diet plans and support to our customers and offering wider general advice across the industry via webinars, blogs and video content to extend Pure Feed’s market reach.
You will work alongside the wider team in new product development, ensuring optimal health and performance quality and compliance across Pure Feed’s products, taking responsibility for UFAS audits, sample analysis, along with system and legislation updates.

Duties will include:

  • Creating and delivering diet plans for customers, specific to their requirements.

  • Answering queries via emails or telephone including nutrition complaints and further advice.

  • Offering wider general advice across the industry via webinars, blogs and video content to extend Pure Feed’s market reach.

  • Work alongside the wider team in new product development, ensuring optimal health and performance quality and compliance across Pure Feed’s products.

  • Take responsibility for UFAS audits, sample analysis, along with system and legislation updates.

  • NOPS compliance monitoring and audits.

Key Skills and Experience required:

  • The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role, and looking to further develop their career in this field. (2 years previous experience)

  • Equine / Animal Science degree or equivalent

  • Strong understanding equine health and dietary requirements

  • Ability and knowledge to play a major part in product development, formulating new feeds, overseeing feed trials, sampling and the nutritional analysis of feeds in line with current legislation

  • Approachable and able to relate well to partners and customers

  • Ability to write articles for internal and external publications, along with confidence to present at nutritional lectures or on webinars

  • Understanding of the BETA NOPS Code and scheme and pre-qualifying Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)

  • Literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

This is a varied and involved role with a high degree of responsibility, with work based both in the office and out on visits working with Supported Riders and customers.

The role is full time, permanent and our offices are based near RWB / Chippenham, the role is hybrid with a minimum 3 days to be based in the office and 2 from home. Own transport is essential. Free on-site parking.
