The British Equestrian Trade Association works to support our members in their efforts to achieve the highest level of repute, knowledge and profitability.
BETA was formed in 1979 and has grown to be recognised and accepted as the official representative body for the equestrian manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade.
We currently have over 800 member companies, covering a wide range of businesses including not only retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers, but also agents, dealers and many service based businesses.

We are a small, busy and hard working team, with an opportunity for a mature and reliable new member to join us as Office Administrator.

A varied role which will involve many different aspects and responsibilities ranging from:

  • Efficient and effective running of the administration, purchase and sales ledger systems

  • General office duties including, post, email, monitoring insurances, medical renewals, PAT, fire extinguisher testing, maintaining holiday forms, and data entry, maintain office petty cash, answering the phones. Stepping in where required for holiday cover on other ad hoc admin tasks

  • Administration and marketing functions for our annual trade event BETA International, including website liaison and updates.

  • Facilitate the production of our ETN Magazine, Equestrian Trade News, maintaining mailing lists, monitoring subscriptions (digital and printed), assist with proofing, liaising with printing house, publishers and editor.

  • Credit control, banking and reconciliation, credit card processing

  • Month end, year end and co ordination of accounts in association with our accountants.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous office / administration experience (min 2 years)

  • A forward thinking and a methodical approach to their work

  • Reliable and professional in all circumstances

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A proven track record of IT skills, working with various office and accounts packages

This is a full time office based post so candidates must live locally to Weatherby in West Yorkshire, and able to travel in daily.  (part time may be considered)
