Instructor – Equine (Croft End – Oldham OL8 3JD)

Actual pro rata salary: £19,751.20 – £22,759.20 (A26 – A32) per annum

Status: Permanent, part time, 29.6 hours per week (4 days per week)

Reaseheath College is one of the premier land-based College located in South Cheshire with an enviable reputation for quality and partnerships with industry.  The College has a beautiful rural setting situated amongst 330 hectares of farms, parklands, lake, woodland and sports facilities, in addition to two Equine out-reach centres; Croft End (Oldham) and Burrows Lane (Saint Helens).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Equine Instructor to join the existing team at Croft End in Oldham, which is currently self-assessed as a Grade 1, Outstanding department.

  • You will be expected to teach and carry out other pedagogic activities both practically and in a classroom, which contribute towards high quality, effective and relevant learning experiences that are appropriate to the needs of individual students.

  • You will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business and support outstanding student experience, marketing opportunities and industry engagement. This may involve some evening and weekend work when needed.

  • You will possess demonstrable industry experience and a minimum BHS Stage 3 Coach (BHSAI), ideally Stage 4 Coach (BHSII) and Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent (or willingness to work towards).

  • A recognised Teaching Qualification at minimum CET level (or willingness to work towards this) is essential.

Please note this role constitutes ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment. You must have the right to work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence to support this.
