Dodson and Horrell Ltd are suppliers of top-quality equine feeds. We are currently looking for a full-time Customer Service Advisor to join our team in delivering outstanding customer service in our main office in Aston, Cheshire.

It is a fast paced and diverse role that involves being a first point of contact for all external enquiries, handling high volume of calls, taking and processing orders, liaising with other departments as well as handling other admin duties. Prior experience of working in fast paced Customer Services and/or Helpdesk environment is essential. Knowledge/prior experience in Equine industry will be a strong advantage.

Requirements:

  • Highly organised person, able to multitask and work under pressure in fast pace environment
  • Excellent communication skills, good command of spoken and written English
  • Good numeracy and literacy
  • Good computer skills - the role involves working on industry specific software as well as Microsoft Office package
  • The successful candidate will be energetic, polite, friendly and calm under pressure
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, including cooperation with other departments (Transport, Sales, Technical, multiple Production sites)
  • Knowledge/prior experience in Equine industry will be a strong advantage
  • Prior experience of working in fast paced Customer Service/Helpdesk environment is essential. Full training on the in-house systems will be provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for all enquiries
  • Handling high volume of calls
  • Taking orders from customers, agents and merchants
  • Inputting, amending, cancelling orders – in-house software
  • Liaising with other Departments: Transport, Sales, Customer services, Technical and with management
  • Other general admin tasks as required

Terms:

Full time position (37.5 hours a week, normally 8am-4pm/9am-5pm Monday to Friday with half hour unpaid lunch break). Overtime hours (including Saturday mornings) might be available in busy periods
