British Riding Clubs Membership Administrator

 Full Time - 35 hours per week (working hours)

Salary: £19,000

Based at our HQ near Stoneleigh, Warwickshire (Agile working arrangments available)

The British Horse Society is the nation’s largest equine charity with a passion for horses that is backed by knowledge and expertise. The BHS represents and provides a range of services for horse riders, horse owners, enthusiasts and professionals.

We are looking for a British Riding Clubs Membership Administrator to provide administration support for the BRC operations team to ensure the effective running of the BRC department and promote the BHS participation objectives.

Key skills needed for this exciting role:

  • Ability to prioritise, organise workloads and work to deadlines
  • Good team player as well as ability to work independently
  • Strong administration experience and excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience using Microsoft packages particularly Excel
  • Organised, flexible and adaptable; willing to travel to weekend and evening events in the UK (including overnight stays away from home)

Here’s some information on the role….

  • To administer membership lists received from clubs and upload to the database
  • Support clubs to ensure GDPR compliance
  • Accurately maintain club committee details on the database
  • Provide administrative support for the BRC safeguarding officers ensuring we have correct details on file throughout the year
  • Maintaining up to date records of club personnel, data sharing agreements and club constitutions
  • Administer financial practices, such as raising invoices, purchase orders and keeping cash sheets
  • Deal with enquiries accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist the BRC Operations Manager with any other tasks as necessary
  • Attend BRC championships as part of the organising team
