Established in the 1870s, Harry Hall has spent a long time working towards becoming the UK horse brand dedicated to making horse ownership more affordable.  

Due to the rapid expansion of Harryhall.com, a new role has become available within the Buying & Merchandising team.  

Reporting to the Head of Buying, you will be required to download system reports and analyse data to ensure informed buying decisions are made.  Raising day to day orders with manufacturers and distributors, manage and build supplier relationships.

The role will include setting up new products on the system, price list and product/system maintenance.  You will work closely with the Commercial Manager offering daily support with administration duties across all Marketplace channels.  You will be an integral part of the business growth plan, ensuring strategic and operational measures are met.

As a key member of the team, you will assist with building range plans, comparative pricing and collating photographic imagery and product copy from our third-party vendors through to ensuring products are live on the website, with the relevant information and merchandised correctly on the website.  Duties will also include copywriting for own brand products for Marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay.  You will need a keen eye for detail, and an understanding of equestrian products, good grammar and punctuation as well as a ‘can do’ attitude towards your responsibilities.

You will work closely with our warehouse team ensuring inbound stock is received on the system in full and in a timely manner, also co-ordinating orders received on our personalisation service making sure the SLA is met.   You will also be required to join regular meetings between teams across many sides of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Weekly & monthly reporting using system data downloads
  • Analysing stock & sales, stock replenishment
  • Provide and analyse data
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Expediting, collating and checking supplier documents for shipments
  • Product set up – on all internal systems, including assisting with Marketplace product set up
  • Product merchandising on the website, checking information is correct and uploading images
  • Collating third party vendor assets for new & updated products
  • Writing product copy for Harryhall.com & Marketplace
  • Overseeing personalisation service
  • Responding to Customer Service queries, and Marketplace enquiries
  • General office duties

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Office experience essential
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly excel
  • Equestrian understanding beneficial
  • The confidence to own projects from start to finish
  • Decision making
  • Ability to work under pressure accurately while achieving deadlines
  • Excellent relationship building skills
