Account Manager

Closing Date for Applicants:
Monday 6th February 2023

This year looks to be a big year for us all here at Weatherbeeta and we need to expand our team. We are adding an Account Manager to the UK Sales team. This role will be based remotely, and this new role will be based in the North Midlands or North of England.

We’ve been around for a long time (45 years!) but in that time we’ve seen enormous changes – but the last 3 years have been extraordinary - with those changes come all sorts of opportunities for companies like us to grow our business around the world – but only if we can find the right talent to make sure we stay as the leading global equestrian business. If that could be you, read on!

Weatherbeeta remains a family owned business founded in Australia and the world-wide leader in equestrian products for the horse and rider. We have been in the UK for over 25 years & the USA for over 20 years.  Our enviable portfolio of brands includes market leaders WeatherBeeta, Dublin and Collegiate. While our heartland is equestrian, we also have an emerging pet products business.

At Weatherbeeta, we are proud of our track record in developing talent and promoting from within but we do occasionally look to add colleagues to our strong team. Right now is one of those times.

This role is to take ownership for a portfolio of retail customers mainly across the North of England and Scotland. You will need to be an enthusiastic B2B Sales professional with a track record of achievement but with the obvious potential to grow with Weatherbeeta.

Working as part of the UK Sales team, you will be responsible for:

  • Helping your customers maximise the sales & profit on their business with Weatherbeeta by focusing on profitable sales out programs to ensure your sales targets are exceeded
  • Having a close relationship with your customers ensuring that their business needs are understood and met
  • Ensuring each account’s potential is evaluated, areas for growth are identified and detailed contact plans developed and executed
  • Representing Weatherbeeta in a variety of settings to the highest of standards
  • Having fun, making a big and broad contribution to the team and getting the most out of the unique Weatherbeeta culture

What do you need to be successful in the role?

  • Good core B2B sales skills and potential to develop further
  • Equine knowledge and experience
  • B2B Sales experience with a track record of achievement. While equine or pet sales would be an appealing background to us, we are most interested in demonstrated core selling skills
  • Genuine care and commitment to serving our customers to a very high standard
  • Good people skills to influence and persuade
  • Ability to be proactive, set clear priorities and the enthusiasm to deliver them
  • Ability to plan and organize delivery of business targets & projects in a fast-moving marketplace
  • Potential to be seen as a potential role model for Weatherbeeta 3Ps behaviours  Is this you?

This role would suit a candidate:

  • Who has equestrian experience and would love to represent some of our industry’s most celebrated brands. We are a company of animal lovers with a growing Pet business so a love of dogs would help too!
  • With a deep motivation for delivering great account management to their customers
  • With 3-4 years of B2B sales experience who is looking for the responsibility of owning a portfolio of customers & taking it to the next level
  • Is looking for a small company feel within the framework of a global leader in their industry

Flexible Working

Weatherbeeta supports working away from our sites. Home working is common across our business and will be supported for this role. Due to this, any candidates hoping to be considered must have adequate internet and connectivity of at least 18-20 mbps.

A home base readily accessible to a portfolio of accounts in the North of England and Scotland would be a distinct advantage.

Here’s what we offer

  • Weatherbeeta is a great place to work, with a wonderful ethos in our small team and a strong positive culture. We support flexible working and we offer:
  • Competitive salary & industry leading staff purchase scheme
  • Employee of the quarter and year awards with our 3Ps recognition program
  • Flexible working support
  • Company events & opportunities to work together and socialise with your colleagues across the UK & Northern Hemisphere
  • Training and support to do your best work
  • The benefits of being part of a strong Weatherbeeta family globally

Therefore, if this sounds like you and you have a passion for serving equestrian retail customers, experience of driving results, we look forward to receiving your application!

Please e-mail your CV and covering letter, detailing your salary expectations and where you first heard about this role to: jobs@weatherbeeta.com.
