In-Store Sales Advisor (Evenings / Weekends) approx 20 hrs per week.

Day, Son & Hewitt have been manufacturing equine products since 1833 and specialise in the manufacture and sales of nutritional products to the trade. We hold a Royal Warrant from Her Majesty Queen of England and in fact our first Royal Warrant was granted by George IV.

Reporting directly to the UK Sales Manager, you will promote the new range of Day, Son and Hewitt supplements in-store at our top accounts throughout the country, during the evenings and at weekends. This will require not only hard work and dedication but a commitment to also support the trade at shows and events throughout the year.

The successful candidate will have obtained or be working towards a degree in equine science (or similar) and have a good knowledge of equine nutrition. You will possess excellent communication, persuasive and interpersonal skills and will need to be self motivated, organised and able to work independently. Previous experience in sales would be a distinct advantage. Hours are negotiable (approx. 20 hours per week).

The ideal candidate will be a recent design graduate educated to degree level with a passion for design, meticulous attention to detail and be able to meet deadlines. A creative and enthusiastic individual, who will help drive, develop and improve the design needs of the business. The ideal candidate will possess the confidence and knowledge to take projects from conception through to completion under the guidance and supervision of the Marketing Manager.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of projects within a small marketing team. Produce design solutions with high visual impact. Graphic design solutions are required for a huge variety of products and activities, such as websites, adverts, literature, monthly newsletters, product packaging, labels and posters.

Working to a brief agreed with the Marketing Manager the graphic designer will develop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the objectives.

The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.

The successful candidate will work on a Mac based system and be able to use the following programs. Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, CS3 & CS4.

An MRCVS or relevant qualification would be advantageous.
